Finding a place to put the trash
When logging trash, TrashTracker would like to know the location of the nearest trash or recycle bin. This information is useful in determining the placement of responsible methods of waste disposal in relation to areas of litter. When uploading trash data, be sure to pick the trash up and make note of a nearby garbage receptacle if possible!
Logging Trash
With the use of a smart phone installed with EpiCollect, trash can be photographed and uploaded onto an online database. Gps coordinates are taken at the site of the upload and automatically report the location of the trash site.
TrashTracker provides an easy way to instantly log litter, trash, rubbish and refuse no matter the location. Doing so provides important new information on the habits of our own communities and how these habits affect the health of our environment.
